* The hand recorded stats for 2018 are a bit confusing with numerous
notations/corrections. The Individuals total does not seem to reflect the
sum of its parts. I apologize for any confusion.
In 2011, we started a produce experiment by buying a 50-pound bag of
potatoes. Fresh produce is not available in all food pantries since spoilage
is a risk with any non-shelf stable food. Today we distribute about 6,000
pounds of food per week, at least 1/3 to 1/2 of which is fresh produce,
milk, eggs, and meat.
