Brooklin School Make A Difference Club raises money for Tree of Life

On Friday, March 8, the Brooklin School Make a Difference Club raised $400 for the Tree of Life in Blue Hill. Club members held an ’80s themed community dance, with music and festive decorations to fit the theme. “We had a great turnout for this being our first big event of the year. A whopping 40 attendees! I’m so proud of our little club,” president Ingrid Peterson said. The Make a Difference Club consists of six members and teacher Becky Tapley. One of the big hits of the evening was “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, led by fourth-grade student and club member Adam Matthewson. On March 13, the Brooklin School gathered in the library to see the presentation of the check to Tree of Life director, Rusty Roberts. The check for $400 was presented by the Make a Difference Club and club advisor Becky Tapley. “It’s so wonderful to see kids taking a part in something so important to their community,” said Roberts.
